The Electronic Warfare & Signal Processing group is looking to hire an experienced
Senior Principal Systems-Software Lead
with knowledge and technical expertise in Systems and Software Engineering to support the design, development, and deployment of software products containing advanced RF capabilities to address emerging threats.
This position is full-time on-site in El Segundo, CA in support of Advanced Technologies programs.
What You Will Do
Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges involving multiple subsystem and system interactions (system of systems).
Work with program leadership to manage a multi-disciplined engineering team to define, develop, and prototype software capabilities and interfaces.
Actively partake in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to complex technical tasks including SW and system level integration.
Understand the customer’s architecture needs and participate in requirements decomposition.
Provide systems/software engineering expertise for bids on focused future development activities.
What You Will Learn
Verbal and written communication skills for engagement with program management, technical team members, customers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Manage products throughout the lifecycle and support new business efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and ten (10) years of engineering experience OR an advanced degree with eight (8) years of engineering experience.
Experience developing and maintaining software systems using C, C++, Java, Python, and MATLAB within Windows and Linux environment.
Experience with system interface definition, documentation, and implementation.
Experience with software architecture design principles and constructs.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
Experience leading and training technical teams of junior to mid-level systems engineers and analysts.
Experience with Signal Processing (AMTI), Tracking, Communications, or Resource Management.
Experience with Systems and Software Engineering processes and best practices for Continuous Integration/Continuous Development.
Experience analyzing engineering problems and identifying root causes.
Experience in Dev-ops automation on various operating systems including Linux.
