As a Senior Engineer you will support architecture & deployment of critical systems in multiple physical and virtual data centers across the globe. Responsibilities include the entire stack including NetApp storage, Red Hat and Windows operating systems, VMWare Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) and AWS compute/storage deployments. The role is a final escalation point and is expected to be able to contribute to any critical incident or outage across any team or technology stack. The Opportunity Plan, design and implement global IT infrastructure including global datacenters and cloud deployments with the focus on AWS Native deployments and VMWare Software-Defined Data Center. Hands on L3 support of on-premises and cloud infrastructure including Servers, Storage and Hypervisors. Ensure architecture will support the requirements of CPP Investments business. Propose opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, efficiency, quality, and automation. Define and shape CPP Investments’ future technology and research process. Qualifications
5+ years working as an engineer with Red Hat operating systems including, tuning, troubleshooting, upgrading, monitoring. Hands-on scripting experience using one or more of the following scripting languages: Perl, Python, Powershell, Bash, and C-Shell. Hands-on experience implementing functionality in Ansible automation platform. 5+ years of experience working with public cloud services on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience in automating and deploying instances on AWS, familiarity with Terraform, Cloud Watch, managing security groups in AWS. Solid understanding of VPC, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, Route 53, Availability Zones, EC2, AMI, Auto scaling, Cloud Storage, Multi region replication. 3+ years of experience with Windows operating systems and with NetApp storage controllers, including NetApp CVO/FSx. Experience with storage protocols (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI) and authentication services (LDAP, PAM, SAML, OAuth). RedHat, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Windows, and VMware certifications are an asset.
