JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Staffing Partner will lead efforts to oversee/manage staffing to ensure the needs of the district’s students and schools are met. Reporting to the Executive Director of Recruitment & Staffing, the Senior Human Resources Staffing Partner will work in collaboration with (2) other Senior Human Resources Staffing Partners to oversee a team responsible for supporting and building the capacity of principals and other hiring managers to ensure they are adequately prepared for handling all of the human resources needs within their schools and departments. While all Senior Human Resources Staffing Partners will operate under the same goals, strategies, and processes to ensure district-wide alignment in HR management, each team will oversee a specific subset of schools and/or departments. Each team will serve as a single point of contact for principals and hiring managers in support of their recruitment, hiring, staffing, and retention efforts and will manage the staffing function for both instructional and non-instructional employee groups.

The Senior Human Resources Partner will primarily focus on high-level, strategic, and complex tasks, such as developing and communicating policy and long-term talent decisions, ensuring a high-level of customer service from the team, setting goals and benchmarks with the team, and contributing positively to overall office and team culture.**Contingent upon funding**EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in urban school district, with a specific focus on human capital.Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing innovative talent management strategies.Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve goals.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.Experience working with diverse communities and a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.Bilingual candidates preferred.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES:

STRATEGIC SUPPORT AND LEADERSHIP:

Provide day-to-day management of the team, including developing and coaching direct reports.Set clear individual and team performance goals aligned to department and district priorities, and effectively lead the team towards meeting these goals.Utilize human capital data to drive decision-making, including the prioritization of support for high-need schools and shortage areas.Ensure that the Staffing team establishes and maintains strong, positive working relationships with principals and central staff to implement highly effective recruitment, selection, evaluation, and retention strategies, supporting and coaching them around talent development and performance management issues as needed.Oversee and manage with support from the HR Partners in assisting principals in the planning for and assignment of educational staff, including projected vacancies, displacements, transfer actions, and other HR implications of the principal’s budgetary and staffing decision-making.Through process improvements and leveraging technology tools, ensure a high level of customer service in strategically supporting principals on all matters related to recruitment, selection, hiring, staffing, and retention, and be responsible for seeing inquiries through from start to finish.Build the capacity of the team around utilizing and leveraging data to inform decisions and supports to key customers.Collaborate with key subject matter experts, Executive Directors, School Administrators, and Instructional Leaders to develop and implement human resources policies that strengthen the ability of schools to attract and retain the best educators and staff members.Liaison with other teams within the department to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of human resources services to school administrators.TALENT MANAGEMENT EXECUTION AND SUPPORT:

Assist principals and hiring managers in analyzing relevant HR data regarding teacher quality, turnover, absenteeism, and other areas.Support the recruitment of instructional staff through job fairs and other recruitment events and collaborate with the Senior Director of Recruitment.Prepare reports and communication for principals and senior leadership to keep them apprised of HR needs and staffing issues.Oversee counsel and assistance to school leaders on a broad range of human resource issues, including school staffing and retention, employee performance management, employee training and development, and labor relations.Oversee effective ongoing professional development opportunities to help principals manage human resources, including “just in time” training to principals on human resources related topics as requested.Oversee compensation and classification for assigned accounts (i.e. school based, support, central office departments) – [Central only]
