With a commitment to excellence and a passion for innovation, Lynker leverages cutting-edge technologies and scientific expertise to support the creation and delivery of improved operational weather forecasts.As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, Lynker is seeking a Director to lead our Water Resources division that includes federal, state, local, and commercial clients. The Director is responsible for division performance, staffing, and growth, and will report to a Vice President.
Responsibilities of the Director:Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth; helping to implement goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planOversee division operations and employee workforce, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are metAdhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, helping ensure compliance and acting when necessaryLead a team of program managers and their teams in delivering federal and state/local scientific and analytical servicesOversee execution of assigned programs and contracts with a focus on organic growth and positioning for future opportunities.Oversee operational policies and procedures, and analyze internal operations for areas of process enhancementDevelop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the Senior Vice President and Operations DirectorPartner with the SVP and the Operations Director on revenue, cost, and profitability management to achieve growth targets across all division business lines.Review budgets and staffing.Monitor performance and establish corrective measures as neededMaintain and build trusted relationships with employees, key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholdersServe as Liaison to the corporate office on operational challenges, changes, and achievements.Cultivate and provide opportunities for rising talent within the organizationPrepare operational and management reports.Support W+W with capture and proposals for new and continuing work.Drive growth in governmental (federal, state, and local) and commercial sectors.Participate in BD strategic planning in coordination with SBU leadership.Execute strategy by running capture for target opportunities, developing deep customer relationships, and leveraging those opportunities for the company.
Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in business, law, STEM, environmental science, or other related subject10+ years' experience in leadership positions such as Program Manager, Program Director (leading groups of diverse scientists, technologists, and support staff)Leadership skills, with personal integrityUnderstanding business operations and ability to evaluate needs and translate into useful policy and procedure.A solid grasp of federal government contracting and Federal Acquisition RegulationsAbility to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issuesAbout Lynker:Lynker is a growing, employee-owned, small business, specializing in professional, scientific and technical services.
