The Underwood Law Firm is a boutique real estate and business litigation firm looking for an Associate Attorney with 0 to 5 years of experience to join our rapidly growing team. About the Role:

The firm provides mentoring and training to associates, with the opportunity and encouragement to appear in court, engage in substantive legal work, and interact with clients and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities:
Drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence
Arguing in court
Developing litigation strategies to help clients achieve their goals
Reviewing and investigating legal claims
Conducting legal research and writing, including complaints, discovery, briefs, and letters;
Appearing for court and depositions;
Negotiating settlements with opposing counsel and clients
Reporting to firm management.
Qualifications:
California Bar License
At least five years of recent California litigation experience
Strong interest in the firm's practice areas (Real Estate/Business/Civil Litigation)
Attention to detail
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
Self-motivated
Commitment to ethical practice
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
Values high quality work and intellectual curiosity
