The role involves working with Asian American/Pacific Islander students to support their academic success and personal development.APPOINTMENT INFORMATIONBudgeted Salary:
$25.77/ Hourly - $29.24 / Hourly. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.Benefits Level Eligibility:
Full benefitsSchedule Information:Full-time, FixedPercentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per WeekDays of the Week: Mon-FriShift Includes: DayJOB DUTIES50% - Program PlanningProvide essential support services for a student program(s) for the AA/PI communities at UCSC.Assist Resource Center Directors in producing and promoting large-scale events.Plan and coordinate logistics for collaborative programs.Evaluate programs and maintain relationships with stakeholders.25% - Advising and Supervising StudentsProvide advising to student leaders participating in AA/PIRC internships.Supervise student workers and maintain commitment to diversity.25% - Administrative SupportServe as advisor to a small student service operation.Manage facilities, reservations, and office supplies.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related area.Experience in creating and publicizing diverse events.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in website creation or content management.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures.EEO/AAThe University of California is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
