The division is the largest academic unit on campus.JOB SUMMARYReporting to the Assistant Dean of Planning and Finance, the Divisional Finance Director is the principal budget analyst responsible for a range of key business functions in the areas of financial and budgetary management, accounting control, fiscal planning, analysis, and reporting.APPOINTMENT INFORMATIONBudgeted Salary:

$115,000 - $135,600 / Annually. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.Benefits Level Eligibility:

Full benefitsSchedule Information:Full-time, FixedPercentage of Time: 100%, 40 Hours per WeekDays of the Week: Mon-FriJOB DUTIES35% - Financial ReportingDevelop methods, formats, and procedures for fiscal reporting.Work closely with the Assistant Dean to identify reporting needs.30% - Fiscal Management and ControlEnsure an effective system of internal controls.Maintain divisional chart of accounts and org hierarchy.25% - Resource Planning and AnalysisPerform continuous budget review and analysis.Prepare and oversee the preparation of analyses of complex financial issues.10% - SupervisionProvide training, performance management, and professional development.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience.Extensive knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures.EEO/AAThe University of California is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
