$24.29 - $26.46 / Hourly. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.Schedule Information:Part-time, VariablePercentage of Time: 15%, 6 Hours per WeekDays of the Week: Varied - Mon-SunShift Includes: Varied

- Days, Evenings, Nights, WeekendsJOB DUTIES50% - General Production AssistanceAssists entire crew in tasks such as unloading/loading trucks, setting up/striking staging and/or scenic elements, arranging lighting and sound equipment, performing maintenance functions, and running production-related errands.50% - Specialized Production AssistanceWorks with proficiency in a specific area of specialization as directed (Lighting, Sound, Multi-Media).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSTwo years of college and one year of experience in theater production and/or equivalent education/experience.Ability to maintain lighting components and install sound systems.Ability to coordinate across technical areas to ensure timely realization of the event.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated intermediate knowledge and experience sufficient to operate theatrical rigging equipment.SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.Ability to work a variable schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.SAFETY STATEMENTAll UCSC employees must understand and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, and promote safety at work.EEO/AAUniversity of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
