This strategic work requires streamlining and re-purposing technology across different business and distribution channels – including streaming, linear, and theatrical – so that technology can ebb and flow across the needs of the business.The Processing Tools team is responsible for all tools that provide expert views into the media and metadata processing pipelines as well as engineering development and deployment tools for specialized media workflows that serve operations teams responsible for publishing content to Disney’s DTC services.ResponsibilitiesCraft web application software using REACT, with strong software development fundamentals and strong design principles (object oriented or functional)Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverablesContribute to a culture of collaboration and innovationBuild quality productsProvide on-call rotational support as neededBasic Qualifications7+ years of software engineering experienceExperience in programming with Backend and Frontend UI development and proficient with one or more general purpose programming languages (Python, Java, Javascript, etc)Desire to work in a start-up, fast-growth, or rapid-change environmentProblem-solving skills to identify the root causeSolid communication skills – written, and oralUnderstanding of agile methodologies and git source controlBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructureExperience integrating media players into web applicationsSolid understanding of web accessibility fundamentals.Strong knowledge to web standards and new technologies.Understanding of async programming models (events, callbacks, promises, async/await) and threading/concurrencyUnderstanding of source control concepts and systems, CI/CD pipelines and exposure to GitExperience with build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins and Docker. Experience with messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, etc.)#DISNEYTECH
