The selected candidate will become part of an established team of engineers working on exciting, high profile, complex, and impactful transportation projects. They will be responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. The successful candidate will also act as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers. Are you JMT's next Highway Project Engineer?Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDesign and oversee plans, estimates and specifications for compliance with FDOT, Florida's Turnpike, and other county guidelines and standardsDevelop construction documents including all aspects of highway and site design (geometrics, details, ADA criteria, roadway profiles, utility design and coordination, pavement markings, and maintenance and protection of traffic, signage)Perform design computationsManage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplinesPrepare proposals as requiredAttend meetings with clientsCoordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established qualityNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program4-10 years' experience in specialized disciplineEIT licenseProficient in Bentley MicroStation and InRoadsProficient in Microsoft OfficeWritten and communication skillsPreferred ExperienceProfessional Engineer LicenseProficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3DProficient with Bentley OpenRoads DesignerExperience working with local clients at the county and state levelBenefitsJMT offers outstanding opportunities for career and professional growth.
