Full TimeDuties:Understand and capture customer requirements for various Tessent products that have been adopted by customers.Make changes to implement features in corporate tools that will improve adoption of corporate technologies across semiconductor companies.Collaborate with members of engineering teams, get feedback from them on a regular basis, help them understand the need for the tool enhancements and the implementation plans, and work on projects that span across different teams within the organization.Fix bugs and maintain the code.Suggest improvements to existing code.Perform unit and flow testing.Design test cases that will focus on testing the features standalone, as well as validate the same in conjunction with corporate tool flows.Run various third-party tools to validate interoperability between tools that are being used by customers.Work on design flow such as synthesis, timing analysis, equivalence checking, simulation.Interact with product documentation team, product engineering team, customer support engineers, and application engineers so that they understand the features being implemented and can proceed with their tasks.Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.Position requires experience in the following:Programming in C++ and scripting in TCL;Object oriented programming;Designing and architecting new features within existing code base;Debugging to identify and fix issues in existing code;Utilizing different software management tools such as source code revision controls, software instrumentation tools, compilers, and tools for developing automated regression tests;Working with hardware description knowledge (such as Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL);Designing digital circuits and verification.10% domestic travel is required.[On-site role]Referral Program:
