This is a full-time position working a varied shift of Thursday-Monday from 12:45pm-9:15pm with occasional morning shifts of 5:30am-2:00pm. Shift times and days scheduled may vary as needed. Located in the beautiful Torrey Pines area, we are one of the busiest cafes serving our patients, staff, and patients' families.As the Lead for Food and Nutrition Services, your main duties will include oversight of staff to ensure tasks are completed appropriately. You will also be the person in charge on weekends and when the supervisor is unavailable. You will provide leadership and coordination in the following Food Service operational systems: safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management, food service equipment operations, customer service, human resources management, financial performance, infection control/sanitation, and overall department function. You will participate in the planning, coordination, preparation, and volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering/special events. Compliance with JCAHO, Title XXII, and other regulations is required.
