We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Cleared IT Support Team. This role involves collaborating with a group of dedicated Systems Administrators and IT specialists. The primary responsibility of our support team is to ensure the seamless operation of several different multi-user computer networks to include WANs and Standalones. This includes collaborating with network engineers, ISSOs, ISSMs, monitoring system resources, and managing security administration tasks.Key duties will involve administering user accounts, maintaining comprehensive system documentation, optimizing system performance, installing software across the network, managing updates and patches, addressing vulnerabilities, ongoing systems operations and maintenance, etc. You may also need to interact directly with users remotely or onsite to help them troubleshoot issues with their system. Additionally, you will oversee installations, manage backup recovery processes, and develop policies for the efficient use of computing resources. Mentoring less experienced staff may also become part of your responsibilities. Traveling locally between multiple customer locations within Northern VA should be expected.Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and demonstrate a commitment to quality, with a solid grasp of systems administration principles and basic network administration. The candidate should be self-driven, capable of managing multiple projects independently and in collaboration with team members. Excellent troubleshooting abilities and the determination to resolve challenges are crucial for success in this role.Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Windows and Active Directory Services infrastructure
Manage DNS, DHCP, and various Windows services
Configure and troubleshoot group policies
Maintain and optimize virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper-V)
Manage Windows Update Services (WSUS)
Oversee the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning infrastructure and conduct necessary scans and remediations
Setup and maintain the local Host-Based Security System (HBSS) service
Manage Microsoft Exchange Server services infrastructure
Install and troubleshoot workstations, servers, network devices, printers, etc. based on specified requirements
Ensure compliance with information systems IAVM/STIG with assistance from ISSOs
Install and configure Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fast turnaround of escalated requests
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
Responsible for entering all time and expenses as they occur
Continuous education, expansion, and refinement of technical knowledge, and credibility through industry standard certifications
Interpret and discuss information with others and regularly provide and recommend actions involving complex issues
Demonstrate professional attitude with clients and team members and enhance relationships.

Requirements for Position
Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree OR at least three (3) years of IT or related experience. Special preference for systems administrator support.

Work ConditionsWork is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. May occasionally need to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these solutions.
