Senior Contract Negotiator - Energy Trading Firm in Houston, TX
Join a dynamic, growing capital markets trading firm in the Galleria area of Houston, TX. Our client is expanding their presence in physical and financial energy trading and are looking for a skilled Senior Contract Negotiator to support their North American power origination and trading operations.
Position Overview:As the Senior Contract Negotiator, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's power origination and trading activities by managing the review, negotiation, and execution of complex trading agreements. You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Credit, Origination, and Commercial teams to ensure all agreements are in line with company standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:Lead negotiations and execute master agreements, including ISDAs with physical annexes, EEIs, and long-form confirmations.Collaborate with Credit and Legal teams on documentation related to guaranties and letters of credit.Draft and revise bespoke confirmations with the Commercial and Legal teams.Oversee workflow for various commercial agreements, including transmission, confidentiality, and vendor agreements.Maintain organized records within the Legal contract management system.(Preferred) Support transactions involving renewables and natural gas.
