The BRD ensures that the potential business value from those capabilities and assets are captured, optimized, and recognized in partnership with other IT teams. Acts as an internal business consultant by recommending strategic projects that bring business value. Provides technical expertise regarding project design, architecture, implementation, and support. This position is responsible for the direct management of global team(s). The BRD must be able to communicate technical roadmaps, strategies, capabilities, solutions and trends both inside IT, with business leaders, and with leadership teams in a form and level that each audience can consume. Through effective relationship management, the BRD contributes to IT direction by actively partnering with business stakeholders to determine and set overall strategic technology direction. They work to identify ways in which they can support and advance business objectives. Additionally, the BRD helps shape business demand by partnering with business and IT resources to facilitate the creation of business cases and value plans and ensuring value optimization and communication across teams.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Partner with business leaders to:Enable them to articulate their function's technology needs and requirements to enable business performanceMeasure adoption and develop future roadmap and opportunitiesPlan new initiatives, evaluate ideas, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and prioritiesPartner with Application Delivery to maintain visibility over the portfolio executionAct as an internal advisor and visionary on emerging technologies by recommending strategic projects that bring business valueManage budgetary efforts necessary for securing appropriate funding for key efforts. Responsible to drive business case definition for strategic projectsAccountable for end-to-end process technology cost centers, budgeting technology projects and assistance in development of value propositions for solutionsPartner with Enterprise Architecture and Security on architectural strategy and technical innovation plans to support the IT vision with the business teamsSeek innovative solutions and feed them back to the business weighing all key factors such as business fit, development and support cost, technological fit in landscape, security requirements and ease of useEvaluate new applications for compatibility with current systems, technical requirements, business objectives and corporate strategyManage annual and interim evaluation process of global team members in regard to performance and development needs, including drafting goals and supporting employees’ in writing their development plansMentor team to shape initiatives and work efforts to seek cost efficiencies and effectiveness for the businessIdentify, develop and embed technology and strategic capabilities that drive profitable growth and/or provides competitive advantage for McCormick & Co.Drive innovation within the IT organization and the business through ongoing evaluations of emerging or value-added solutionsLeverage external sources, network and partnerships to identify best practice and offer progressive solutions that deliver incremental value or create a competitive advantageREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BSc - Business or Technology field, or related disciplinePMP, SAP, APICS certifications highly preferredAt least 7+ years experience in systems solution design, integration or developmentAt least 5+ years prior staff leadership experience and resource/budget planningAbility to build relationships, interface effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to influence across functional teams and manage relationships across multiple cultures and geographiesAbility to manage remotely, working with diverse global resources, ensuring they are engaged and informed throughout the organizationProject management skills in technical or business area for a particular function or processAbility to think strategically; strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skillsGlobal business and functional acumen - Understand the complexity of business on a global scaleBase Salary:

$137,850-$248,120

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
