We are seeking a skilled and personable Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team at our New York City, NY location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems and equipment. An excellent Desktop Support Technician must have sufficient technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer service oriented.
Please note that this is M-F on-site schedule in New York City, NY.Desktop Support Technician ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely mannerInstall, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software systems.Complete remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questionsDiscover the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customersCollaborate with IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and procedures by providing detailed information on IT requestsRecord events and problems and their resolution in logsFollow-up and update customer status and informationDeliver training and support to end-users on technology-related topicsIdentify and suggest possible improvements to proceduresIT Help Desk Technician Requirements2-4 years experience as a Desktop Support TechnicianTech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech productsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Impeccable attention to detailOrganized and Task OrientedAbility to diagnose and solve basic technical issuesExcellent communication skillsCustomer-oriented and cool-temperedBSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
