Job Description
The Staff Pad is looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our client's dynamic team to help perform and assist in coordinating the accounting duties within our organization. An outstanding staff accountant should possess strong technical skills, be highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts, maintaining general ledger, accounts payable/receivable processes, month-end close and other duties as required. This is a hybrid role and requires 2-3 days per week in the office after initial training/onboarding.
Principle Responsibilities:
Perform accounts payable processes including processing checks for vendor payments, refunds and expense reimbursements Compile AP invoices for entry into QuickBooks Review invoices for correct classification into expense categories. Maintain vendor files and W-9's according to company policy. Manage the 1099 filing and reporting process Compile monthly A/R invoicing Maintaining Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Participate in maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, and closing the monthly books Assist with the implementation of new ERP Assist Controller with special projects. Run Adhoc reports as needed. Experience & Education Requirements:
2-4 years accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Preferred). Healthcare experience (Preferred) but not required. Excellent computer skills - Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word. Quickbooks experience is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP practices and procedures. Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills. Must be detailed-oriented and deadline-sensitive, professional and ethical. Compensation and Benefits
You will receive 17 days of PTO; PTO is accrued on a per pay period basis 9 additional company paid holidays (including a floating holiday!)
