Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is seeking a Database Architect to help expand and continually improve the backend of our next generation reporting stack and data model. As a Database Architect, you will implement, maintain, and optimize our database environment in concert with our IT Engineers while working at the cutting edge of the Microsoft BI Tech Stack.
The ideal candidate is eager to improve or even redesign components of an already robust database environment. That candidate would work hand in hand with BI Developers to level up existing processes and set new levels of excellence with the launch of new ones. Pay range is $120,000 - $150,000/yr.
Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the technical development and innovation of our database environmentCurate database environments such that new development can be fully vetted through our DevOps processEvaluate all incoming requests for specific and measurable impact to existing systems.Work closely with BI and IT leadership to shape the future of DevOps at SVPAccurately diagnose and resolve environment issues in tandem with the IT Engineering teamKeep up-to-date documentation of all objects and optimizationsHelp Development staff manage their work via SQL Source ControlRequired Education and Experience
5+ years of experience building SQL optimizations that facilitate faster and scalable processes.5+ years of experience working in a DevOps SQL environment.5+ years of experience with configuring database environments and process optimizations.Self-starting and results oriented team player with a passion for collaborating within adevelopment team.5+ years of experience with optimizations and infrastructure related to the SQL Server Data Tool suite.5+ years of experience administrating SQL Server IAM.5+ years of experience working with Visual Studio Database Projects.Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or related field.Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with optimizations specifically related to memory utilization.Experience with optimizing SQL Server / Python InteractivityExperience working in Azure DevOpsExperience working in a highly parameterized ETL environment.The SVP Way - Our Core Values
