The Field Bioinformatics Support Specialist will serve to support customers in North America. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the utilization of Bio-Rad's portfolio of single-cell technology. This is a specialized role on the Market Development Team within Bio-Rad's Life Science Group (LSG) and is fundamental for the growth of new and advanced technology (instruments and applications). This role is highly technical and will serve as a liaison between customers, sales, product marketing & development, and the market development group. As new products are released, the Field Application Specialist team will be instrumental in creating and cultivating market adoption through strategic support efforts.How You'll Make An Impact:As the Field Bioinformatics Support Specialist, you will be a critical liaison between Bio-Rad and our customers, providing pre- and post-sale bioinformatic & application support on our single-cell technology portfolio specifically focused on supporting bioinformatic analysis needs.You will work cross-functionally with other Field Application Specialists in North America. * You will have support reach into other global geographies as needed.You will work closely with the Specialist Sales team and deliver trainings, presentations, and technical seminars to individuals and groups with diverse needs and experience levels.Provide training on and assistance with data analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization for each of these technologies.Assist customers with experimental design and reporting of results.Initiate strategic projects with internal Bio-Rad stakeholders to further educate and assist customers.

What You Bring:Education: Life Science PhD preferred or MS with commensurate scientific experience and demonstrated commercial success.Work Experience: Experience with Single-Cell genomic data analysis experience is requiredExperience working with command line applications in a Linux environmentKnowledge of NGS bioinformatics workflows (quality control, read alignment, etc.)Knowledge of common bioinformatics file types (FASTQ, SAM/BAM, BED, etc.)Knowledge of distributed computing systems (HPC, AWS, etc.)Wet-lab experience with molecular biology techniques is highly desired.Experience with immunofluorescent imaging techniques is highly desirable.Ability to communicate complex concepts by fostering engaging communication tailored to audience needs.Superior knowledge of sample preparation considerations and isolation through data analysis with focus on single-cell applicationsDeep understanding of genomics applications related to gene expression and epigenetics.Ability to travel as needed,

The estimated base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $125,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.Who We Are:
