The Central Office Unit serves as the personnel liaison and training resource hub for the Office of Equity Division by performing administrative support functions including Request for Personnel Actions, Budgets and Position Control, Contract Support, Outreach, ITAP and Accessibility while assisting in the development ofpolicies and procedures.
Telework may be allowable for this position based on operational needs for employees who can perform their essential functions remotely and/or whose duties are conducive to teleworking per CDSS' Telework Policy and in accordance with Government Code Sections 14200 - 14203 for employees residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies. Candidate must be able to commute to the Sacramento Headquarters when needed. Expenses related to travel to the office are the responsibility of the employee if residing outside of the advertised counties.

Working ConditionsThis work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50 and Highway 80.
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies.
