Travel RN - Pediatric - Outpatient
Shift: Days / 8a-9:30p, 12x3, 36 hrs per week
Length:
13 weeks
Weekend : 3-4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
Requirements:
NM license1- 2 yrs Peds experienceFirst-timers accepted: Yes, If travel experience is limited (less than a year) they must have strong pediatric backgroundBLSPALSCharting: Cerner/FirstnetOther Details:Float - to Peds EDTravelers are expected to work per staffing needsUrgent care functions similar to a Pediatric ED aside from seeing traumas.Patient Diagnoses: Peds ER, Central line care/management, Triage, Administer Oxygen (nasal cannula, mask, endotraccheal), Airway Obstruction, management of dysrhythmias, Isolation PrecautionsCOVID vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medicalFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions OnlyNo locals within 75 miles*1- 2 yrs Peds experience required**No locals within 75 miles*COVID vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medicalPosition / Specialty: Peds Urgent Care RNYears of experience REQ: 1-2 yrs; Peds experience requiredFirst-timers accepted: Yes, If travel experience is limited (less than a year) they must have strong pediatric backgroundWeekend REQ: 3-4 weekend shifts per 4 week scheduleCerts REQ: BLS, PALSIs on-call REQ? No locals within 75 milesPending License accepted: (Y/N) yesRTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days needs approval.Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week, facility is allowed to call off 3x throughout a 13-week assignmentSpecial Procedures/Unit Details: Travelers are expected to work per staffing needs.During winter surge 12 hr. shift may be longer due to awaiting inpatient admission. This is rotated amongst the 12 hour staff.ESI is used in triage to determine acuity of patient.Winter surge patient volumes increase on daily basis so must be able to multitask and intervene quickly to assess and stabilize patient.Urgent care functions similar to a Pediatric ED aside from seeing traumas.Patient Diagnoses: Peds ER, Central line care/management, Triage, Administer Oxygen (nasal cannula, mask, endotraccheal), Airway Obstruction, management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions
