*No locals within 75 miles
*COVID vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical
Position / Specialty: Peds Urgent Care RN
Years of experience REQ: 1-2 yrs; Peds experience required
First-timers accepted: Yes, If travel experience is limited (less than a year) they must have strong pediatric background
Weekend REQ: 3-4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
Certs REQ: BLS, PALS
Is on-call REQ? (Y/N) What is the req? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, to Peds ED
Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N) Not guaranteed

RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days needs approval.
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week, facility is allowed to call off 3x throughout a 13-week assignment
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Travelers are expected to work per staffing needs.
During winter surge 12 hr. shift may be longer due to awaiting inpatient admission. This is rotated amongst the 12 hour staff.
Client is used in triage to determine acuity of patient.
Winter surge patient volumes increase on daily basis so must be able to multitask and intervene quickly to assess and stabilize patient.
Urgent care functions similar to a Pediatric ED aside from seeing traumas.
Patient Diagnoses: Peds ER, Central line care/management, Triage, Administer Oxygen (nasal cannula, mask, endotraccheal), Airway Obstruction, management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions
