Job Title: Quality Lab AssociateDuration: 06 MonthsLocation: Marion, NC (28752)Position SummaryConduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components following approved Standard Operating Procedures and test methods in an accurate and timely manner.Job ResponsibilitiesAnalyze organic or inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques.Maintain laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order and troubleshoot malfunctions when needed.Prepare test solutions, compounds, standards or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.Follow laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards or to make improvements as needed.Monitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.Purchase laboratory supplies, such as chemicals.Operate lab equipment such as pipets, burets, balances, hot plates, etc.Review samples received, logs samples, and enter data into computer database (LIMS)Responsible for general housekeeping of laboratory and test suitesSustain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 65 principlesPerform routine laboratory and safety auditsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesComputer literate/knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsMust have a basic understanding of laboratory instrumentationGood documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs (Good DocuMentation Practices)Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a timely mannerFamiliarity with LIMS (or equivalent system) and TrackWiseMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peersMust be have basic knowledge of general chemistry techniquesRequired Education and ExperienceB.S. degree in Science; Chemistry major preferred0-2 years of experience; minimum 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred
