Procurement Manager
to optimize processes, reduce costs, and build strong supplier relationships. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the logistics, warehousing, distribution, procurement, and planning for the end-to-end supply chain.
This position is onsite/in-office, Monday through Friday, at one of our warehouse locations located in Charlotte, NC or Carrollton, TX. This position may require onsite visits and travel up to 20% of the time.
As Procurement Manager, you will:
Identify and support procurement initiatives for cost savings, contract opportunities, supplier quality and risk mitigation of single sourced materials.Participate and support all manufacturing to influence sourcing to meet project timelines.Performs routine spend analysis to understand indirect spend variance and find cost reduction opportunities via collaboration with Category Management.Participate or lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality for internal and external customers.Develop key supplier relationships to serve the site s needs.Support the local projects in close collaboration with other stakeholders for supplier selection, negotiation, and contract implementation.Support the Company's strategic initiatives.Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with contracts developed locally or globally.Process requisitions and place orders with approved suppliers to obtain materials and services required to support organizational needs, dual sourcing efforts and cost savings initiatives.Provide support to resolve supplier quality issues and take corrective action.Notify clients of supplier change notifications, assume role as liaison with supplier to obtain documents and material required to approve change. Provide frequent updates to stakeholders impacted by change to mitigate supply chain risk.Prepare various reports for cost savings tracking supplier spend analysis and performance.Comply with all site and Corporate SOPs and documented processes.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Material & Inventory Management, or closely related field.Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience within supply chain or logistics that included facilitating order fulfillment, inventory management, shipping/receiving of packages, scheduling transportation of supplies, demand forecasting, warehousing, and/or maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers. A minimum of which must have included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.Certifications : Certified Production & Inventory Management (CPIM), Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and/or Supply Chain Procurement (SCP) preferred.Physical & Mental Demands:This role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment. You will need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while collaborating effectively with your team.
