**Must-Have:** - Post-procedural cardiac experience (cath lab, ablations, open heart) - Ability to read and interpret telemetry and document appropriately - Preferably PCU and Stepdown experience
**Job Description:**
- Work in a patient-focused environment where travelers are valued and treated like permanent staff. - Float between floors as needed, primarily covering telemetry units. - Responsible for reading, interpreting, and documenting telemetry strips twice per shift. - Provide care for patients with cardiac focus on one floor and general telemetry needs on another, including post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, and post-strokes. - Titrate Heparin drips and set rate cardiac medications such as amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine. - Collaborate with a charge nurse who typically does not take a patient assignment, ensuring resource availability. - Work with CNAs with typical patient ratios varying based on staffing and census. - Assist RTs with high respiratory needs patients as necessary, with the primary management by RT. - Participate in a 24-hour orientation spread over two shifts; one on each primary floor. - Schedule flexibility is essential, with potential work during weekends and holidays. - Engage actively in a scheduling system mindful of groupings for night shifts; block scheduling not guaranteed. - Utilize the EpicCare EMR system for all charting and documentation.
