Level of NICU: 3# of beds: 20Ratios: 1:1-3 depending on acuity and staffingRequired Certifications: NRP, BLSCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Extremely premature/premature patients, BPD, HIE, feeding intolerance, respiratory support, sepsis/meningitisExperience or 'Must have' skills: Ability to care for gestations down to 23 weeks, all respiratory equipment, use of feeding pumpsAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: BP drugs, TPN/D10, InsulinCharge Nurse/House Supervisor: BothAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: NoNeonatologist in house 24/7?: Neonatologist – no ARNP/PA yesRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): HFOV, HFJV, Conventional vent, CPAP, HFNC, NCIs there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes, nurses read stripsShifts & Scheduling: 3-12s per week – 4 week schedulesWeekend Requirement: Can be every weekendHoliday Requirement: Possible - individualized to contract.Is there a call or standby requirement?: If not needed, will be put on standbyFloating Requirements: Can float to peds to care for NICU grads, any patient until 12 months of age or be a 1:1 sitter for a behavioral health patientScrub Color/Dress Code: Royal BlueUnit/Departments specific orientation: 1-2 shifts of orientationTact Medical Staffing Job ID #494847.
