Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician. This critical role supports the seamless, reliable operation of network services and components essential to the United States Space Force's (USSF) meshONE-T mission. As a NOC Technician, your primary responsibility will be to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain the integrity of the meshONE-T mission's network infrastructure. Your work will contribute directly to the successful execution of the USSF's meshONE capability, which encompasses all mediums, environments, and warfighting domains.
This position operates on a shift-based schedule to provide continuous operational coverage. You will be on the front lines, responding to incidents, analyzing network performance, and collaborating with teams to ensure network resilience and stability across the ground components of the broader meshONE capability. You will deliver end-to-end network solutions that support United States Air Force, USSF missions, and associated mission partners.
Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, the NOC Technician I will accomplish the following:
Overview/Job Responsibilities:Network Monitoring:Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and health using advanced monitoring tools and systems.Detect, assess, and respond to alerts, outages, and other network-related incidents in a timely manner.Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams and ensure a thorough resolution process.Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues including connectivity problems, latency, and service interruptions.Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal network performance and stability.Work in close coordination with engineering and support teams to resolve challenging issues.Monitor and resolve breaches of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet or exceed performance standards.Incident Response:
Respond promptly to network incidents in accordance with established protocols, ensuring timely and effective resolution.Document actions taken during incidents and provide detailed reports on outcomes.Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of corrective actions to prevent future incidents.Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing timely updates on incidents and resolutions.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of network incidents, maintenance activities, and configuration changes.Generate and present network performance and incident reports to management.Update and maintain operational documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures (SOPsCollaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and mission stakeholders.Actively participate in team meetings to discuss network health, identify ongoing issues, and suggest improvements to NOC processes.Communication:Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, leadership, and mission partners.Ensure that all interactions are clear, concise, and professional.Continuous Learning:Stay informed on evolving trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network operations, security, and defense-related innovations.Engage in continuous professional development to ensure the highest levels of service and expertise.Salary: 95k DOE
Minimum Qualifications
IAT Level I - Security+ CEIP experience (to include sub-netting and routing)Experience with ITSM toolsHS Diploma equivalent and 4 years relevant work experience or bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant work experienceSecurity Clearance: Top Secret/SCI EligibleClearance: Must be eligible for US TS/SCI clearance
