The DC Power Technician has the technical knowledge, skills and experience to perform installations and removals of non-powered and powered equipment. attitude to achieve results.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides advanced level DC power installations and removals including running and dressing power cables, routing cables, making terminations, etc.Ability to install and troubleshoot DC electrical including DC Power plants, rectifiers/converters, PDU's, Inverters, etc.Ability to perform basic AC/DC wiring installationsEffectively troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment failures or breakdownsPerforms maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules, utilizing appropriate blueprints, diagrams, sketches, national codes and verbal/written instructionsCan independently perform the addition or removal of non-powered and powered equipment including wiring and connectionsExpert ability to perform battery installations independentlyFull understanding of project scopes and changes; can identify and report change orders to managementSupports the Construction Management team on customer closeout procedures and documentationAbility to read and understand prints; can effectively create work assignments for crews onsitePartners with construction management to oversee time, materials, documentation, tools, equipment onsiteEffective leader and trainer of other crew members; leads by example, ensures all company safety, quality, production, performance and conduct expectations are followed HHas professionalism to communicate directly with customers, internal crews, subcontractors and address complaints/issues as they ariseSafety is the expectation; complete buy-in to the safety culture and expectations by leading by example, teaching others, partnering with safety to present topics, and actively participating in the pre-task, good catch and safety assessment standards within the organizationPerforms other position duties upon requestSUCCESS FACTORS:Up to 100% Travel Ability NationwideA strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectationAlignment with company mission, vision, and valuesA high level of customer centricityStrong work ethic with an ALL-IN attitudeStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersAbility to perform in a fast paced/high volume environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsAbility to be organized, problem solve, and be solution orientedSelf-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsMicrosoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)WORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsiteThis is a safety sensitive position; when working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:4-6+ years of DC Power installation experience within the telecommunications industry requiredPrevious experience within a crew leadership and/or foreman role requiredOSHA 30 Certification preferred (ability to obtain within 30 days of hire required)AC Power Certification, Vertiv/GE/Alpha Certified InstallerValid driver license with the ability to drive a company vehicle required; must possess a DOT CardHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredADB Companies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
