The Opportunity:
West Liberty University is seeking applications for Administrative Assistant - College of Sciences. This position assists with the daily operations within the College of Science and provides support type services to increase the capacity of the Dean of the College of Sciences. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Sciences.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that the daily operations of the office run smoothly.Gather, analyze, and maintain data for various purposes.Manages travel arrangements.Notifies and arranges meetings.Records and distributes minutes of the office.Manage, instruct, and coordinate all activities of support including, but not limited to:
Data entry, supply ordering, scheduling, and clerical support - letters, reports, mailings, memos, and other documents.
Provides effective communication and coordination with various groups throughout the College.Assists, manages, and coordinates special projects as assigned.Professionalism via phone, email, and face to face communication. Greets visitors. Answers and screens telephone calls to assess nature of business.Schedules and attends college & university meetings.Additional duties as assigned.Education & Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree, Vocational or Technical School degree.At least two years of previous relevant administration experience preferred.Previous experience with administrative support for grants preferred.Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated written, verbal, and listening communication skillsTeam and relationship building skillsProfessional etiquetteOrganizational Skills
