Rock Events is a premiere team of event professionals who provide event production, business travel and hospitality services to Rocket Companies, in additional to venue sales for some of the most sought-after event spaces in the city of Detroit. Borne out of the Rock Family of Companies, Rock Events has managed many of Detroit's largest gatherings for more than a decade.
As an Intern with Rock Events you'll assist with venue management, catering orders, reporting and accounting tasks, as well as support administrative functions. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our events and ensuring efficient management of our various processes.
About the Role
Promote and distribute tickets for sporting and cultural events in cities where the Rock Family of Companies offices are located.Place catering orders for suites and other ticketed events that include hospitality services.Generate reports for leadership on event attendee metrics and insights.Arrange payment for all ticketing and hospitality-related invoices, and track all associated expenses.Communicate event details to ticket winners, including timing, transportation, ticket pickup, food and beverage inclusions, and other relevant information.Maintain and update a calendar of sporting and cultural events.Provide on-site support to host team member hospitality in suites or other designated areas as needed.About You
High school diploma required; some college coursework or relevant experience preferredProficiency with technology, especially the Microsoft Office suiteStrong curiosity and a commitment to continuous process improvementProfessional, positive, and friendly demeanor with a confident presenceProven ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levelsExceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficientlyCapability to remain calm and adapt quickly under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to teams and individuals
