Senior Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accountant with Manufacturing experience for a client in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, corporate reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, trial balance analysis, flash reports, and financial statement preparation. Ideal candidates will have at least 4-5 years of general accounting experience along with at least 1-3 years in Manufacturing accounting. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $70K and $82K annually.
Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular reconciliations.Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.Prepare and submit corporate financial reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.Oversee the AP process, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management.Ensure timely and accurate payment of all invoices.Manage the AR process, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Analyze trial balance accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis.Prepare and distribute flash reports to provide timely financial insights to management.Highlight key financial metrics and trends.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA or CMA certification preferred but not requiredMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Strong experience with Microsoft ExcelAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.If you are interested in learning more, please apply now.
