Quality Inspector - Mechanical - Level 2

SQA Services is a leading Supply Chain and Quality Assurance consulting firm specializing in the management of Supplier Audit, Quality Engineering, Inspection, and Remediation programs in the Aerospace/Defense, Semiconductor, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, and Automotive manufacturing industries. Clients leverage our network of quality professionals in more than 50 countries as an extension of their own supplier quality teams.We are looking for a Quality Inspector to perform inspections on various sizing mechanical parts and composites with a wildly renown aerospace company. This position involves travel between two or more suppliers in the greater Los Angeles CA area. Travel reimbursement in the form of mileage and Portal to Portal will be provided, as well as lodging if needed. This is a 12-month ongoing position, working 3-4 days per week, and with full-time hour potential. Following the completion of this position, you will be added to the SQA database and get first priority for similar positions in your area moving forward.Responsibilities:You will be conducting precise mechanical inspections at various client-supplier sites primarily in Los Angeles, CA, and surrounding areas.In-process and final source inspection of composite and mechanical parts.Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standardsQualifications:Knowledge and hands-on experience working with various inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.)GD&T experience is requiredCMM experience (but not necessarily CMM programming experience).CMM programming experience is a plusDue to the nature of the products, US Citizenship is also a requirement, and background checks are required.Requirements:Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Must be willing to undergo background $29 - $31 an hourHourly rate for any travel time (i.e. "p2p")Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($0.655 per mile driven).
