DescriptionSUMMARY
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for purchasing and logistics tasks for the Hanwha Qcells. This individual will organize, control, and monitor purchasing activities of assigned raw materials, either Polysilicon, Quartz Crucible, Diamond Wire, or other materials relating to Solar Ingot and Wafer, and introduce purchasing strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result. This position will work in a cross-functional team environment within Hanwha Qcells, as well as other subsidiaries of Hanwha Group’s subsidiaries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Track the progress of PO from creation to deliveryCheck PR/PO/GR in SAP (Monthly AP Closing included)Determine Purchase Orders based on the sales forecast and the stock levelTransact Goods Receipt, article creation and modification, system flow management, and other transactions in SAPFollow the payment and diverse financial issues with the Finance DepartmentKey contact for coordination of actions for inventory managementManage Out-of-stock and risk management with the concerned services. (quality, export service, packaging, marketing)Negotiate with overseas plants and markets and propose a logistic solution that meets the best to each partReport on annual expenditures and savings in line with the business planInvestigate potential suppliers and develop them as regular suppliersAs a procurement team member in the diverse price or contract-related negotiation and exchange with internal and external partnersPrepare reports on purchases, including cost analysesSupervise suppliers’ performance in the domain of lead time, reactivity, reliability, and flexibilityParticipate in the plant’s production plan and capacity optimizationParticipate in inland and overseas transport optimization to reduce the costSupplier/vendor managementEnsure a close relationship with the suppliers in other domains of raw material management, lead-time, expedition, and reception.Focus point of the suppliers for all the issuesAct as the Key Supply Chain Contact for the suppliers of the concerned scopeTo build a strong collaboration network with other supply chain services to obtain information and synchronize processesAdhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha QcellsPerform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business Management, or related fields1-7 years of purchasing or procurement experienceStrong knowledge of purchasing and/or procurementNegotiation skillsAbility to travel by car and travel overseasAbility to work in a fast-paced work environment, including in areas that are not climate-controlled
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
