Staff Nurse RN
(0.8 FTE: 4 days/week, 8 hour shifts) for our GI Diagnostic Lab in downtown Minneapolis to work day and evening shift, sharing on-call responsibilities.***This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow.RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing healthTriaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of careAlleviating suffering through the treatment of the human responsePartnering with the patient, their family and significant othersDocumenting interventions and an individualized plan of careEducating patient on their disease processAssuring continuity of careEducating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited school of nursingPossession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of MinnesotaICU experience (adult patients) - current or within the last 5 yearsACLS certification
Preferred QualificationsCertification in area of clinical specialtyBSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
