Neurosurgery Physician Assistant - Locum

A healthcare facility in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage. The ideal candidate must be Board Certified, have a current DEA, and VA state license. The shifts are Monday night to Sunday night, 7 pm to 7 am. Duties include seeing 20-30 SNGH and 8-15 SVBGH patients per day, with a patient population consisting of trauma (spine and crani), elective spine, and elective cranial cases. Some procedures involved are removal of drains, shunt adjustment, and handling trauma/practice calls. The support staff includes 8 MD's and 9 APP's. Complimentary housing and travel arrangements, as well as licensing and malpractice coverage are provided.
