The
Director of Human Resources
is responsible for short and long term planning of the HR function. This means leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labor relations, benefits, workforce training and development and local diversity initiatives.
Duties include:
Develop HR strategies and administer HR policies and proceduresStrong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wage and salary, employee training, accident prevention, and government regulations and policies as they impact HRSupport operational efforts through proper staffing and training of associatesConduct needs analysis, develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materialsInstruct managers in developing alternatives/solutions to employee concerns, and in carrying out/operating within regulatory programsSuccessfully defend against unemployment claims, Workers' Compensation claims, etc.Conduct wage and salary surveys.Provides employee counseling as necessaryPlans and coordinates employee functions, suggestion program, etc.Take an active role in professional HR organizationsWork closely with Corporate HR functionCoach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and proceduresHyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards. Qualifications:
6 years or more of progressive Human Resource experience (typically with Hyatt)With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experience preferredService oriented style with professional presentations skillsProven leadership skillsMust possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom lineClear concise written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelMust have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skillsBenefits & Perks
