The successful candidate will be working within a collaborative and high-performing team, engaging in complex crisis litigation, including constitutional law, civil rights claims, wildfire litigation, COVID-19 litigation, eminent domain, and more. This role requires a candidate with 4-6 years of litigation experience and offers an exciting opportunity to handle all phases of litigation, from pleadings to trial and appeal, in both state and federal courts. Duties: Litigation and Trial Work: Engage in all stages of litigation, from drafting pleadings to trial preparation, including trial and appellate practice in state and federal courts. Craft and implement strategic litigation approaches, particularly in complex and high-profile cases. Handle motions, discovery, and electronic case management, ensuring adherence to deadlines. Case Development: Build cases by gathering evidence, conducting witness interviews, and managing depositions. Develop compelling and persuasive legal arguments, particularly in nuanced constitutional matters. Conduct legal research and provide written analysis on various complex legal issues. Collaboration and Client Interaction: Work closely with a team of attorneys across different office locations. Maintain strong client relationships by providing strategic legal advice. Contribute to elevating the firm’s brand through high-quality work and successful case outcomes. Requirements: 4-6 years of litigation experience, with significant experience in managing complex cases. Experience with electronic discovery and law and motion practice. Proven ability to develop legal strategies and manage cases from discovery through trial. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active Bar admission in the state of California and in good standing. Skills: Superior research and writing abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal communication and advocacy abilities, particularly in presenting nuanced arguments. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across different office locations.
