A distinguished law firm with a robust litigation practice is seeking a Senior Trial & Litigation Attorney with over seven years of experience. This role involves working on complex cases, including constitutional law, eminent domain, and civil rights litigation. The position is available in either Los Angeles or Oakland, CA, and offers a hybrid work schedule to support collaboration and flexibility.Location
Duties
Engage in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal in both state and federal courts.Craft litigation strategies for complex cases involving constitutional law, eminent domain, and civil rights.Present sophisticated legal arguments, particularly in matters of social justice, land use, and First Amendment rights.Build cases for trial by developing evidence, conducting witness interviews, and managing depositions.Collaborate across offices to support and elevate the firm’s litigation practice and reputation.Manage and lead casework for public entities and large-scale projects, particularly in eminent domain.Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience, particularly with law and motion practice in state and federal court.Experience with dispositive motions and trial preparation, including witness interviews and depositions.Proven track record in handling complex litigation matters.Prior experience representing public entities is preferred.Strong work ethic with a commitment to providing high-quality client service.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active license to practice law in California (required).Skills
Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on persuasive argumentation.Experience in handling high-stakes cases, including class actions and multi-party litigation.
