Job Description
Position Summary:
As Shipping Coordinator, you will play a leading role in our company's positive culture by helping us create an effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an electric future. The Shipping Coordinator position is responsible for the daily operations associated with the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics personnel, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.
Roles Responsibilities:
Schedule shipments and plan logistics while tracking and updating shipment statuses.Prepare necessary paperwork and create customs invoices for international shipments (Mexico and Canada).Review invoices for accuracy and check orders before shipment.Package items and products securely for delivery.Operate warehouse equipment and organize inventory effectively.Catalog and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operationsPerform other position related duties as assignedRequirements
Qualifications
Basic:
Minimum Age: 18 years oldBachelor's degreeMust be eligible to work in the United StatesWhile travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience in similar positionExcellent organizational, written, and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior LeadershipDemonstrated technical problem-solving abilityStrong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handlingMust have a good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficePreferred:
Bilingual English / KoreanExtensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applicationsCritical thinking and an analytical mindset.Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goalsWorking Conditions:
Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicalsAbility to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job functionAbility to lift up to 30 pounds
