About this role
The
Senior Manager, Finished Goods and Contract Manufacturing
will manage the execution of supply chain strategies. This role develops sourcing standards and operational plans to address capacity issues and production decisions. The Senior Manager oversees all aspects of supplier selections, negotiations, and contract administration.
Key ResponsibilitiesManages global category spend.Responsible for building short and long-term category strategy to ensure operational excellence and efficiencies are metEstablishes a cross-functional network and fosters collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, product management, and customersOwns the vendor performance data and reports metrics to leadershipDevelops and implements a category strategy which optimizes affordability, availability, agility, and innovation.Leverages understanding of similar industry, sourcing concepts, and Lean tools to ensure parts delivered on time at best cost and quality.Manages external relationships with suppliers and assumes responsibility for all internal activities and decisions associated with category and suppliers, including contract negotiations, new products development, approved vendor list, RFX, re-sourcing, dual qualification, pricing changes, quality, and capacity.Collaborate within the Global Strategic Sourcing team and across Product Management and Engineering to align on long-term strategy, technology roadmap, and risk mitigationDevelop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree6 + years of experience in sourcing environment and familiarity with industrial operationsPreferred Qualifications
MBA or professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM)Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExcellent negotiation skills & strategic mindsetExperience with strategic sourcing and lean toolsDigital dexterity and ability to leverage dataStrong knowledge of supply chain strategy (development and execution) and category specific experienceIndependently driven problem solver with appetite to address complex challenges in a fast-moving environmentProven track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communicationStrong business acumen and experience collaborating across various levels within a diverse, global organization
