Position Overview:
We're hiring a Senior Network Engineer to support the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. In this position you'll become part of technically diverse team to include but not limited to Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals. Together this team provides IT Operations and Support to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) which is responsible for training Law Enforcement Professionals from over 90 different agencies.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance tasks on the networking environment.Assist with peer reviews on networking maintenances, projects, and initiatives.Identify, review, and recommend security postures to peers and appropriate security teams.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems.Install hardware such as routers, firewalls, wireless, and switches.Requirements
5+ years' experience working as a Network EngineerUnderstanding of Cisco switching and routingUnderstanding of Aruba Networks switchingStrong understanding of IPv6, IPv4, and dual stackingStrong understanding of OSPF routing protocolExcellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills using the English languageHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience with Palo Alto FirewallsPalo Alto CertificationPrefer candidates with a bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Information Technology such as Network Administration and EngineeringPrefer Candidates with Networking Certification such as the CCNA (Cisco) and ACSA, ACSP, or ACSX (Aruba Networks) switching certificatesSecurity Qualifications:
No security clearance required; Secret Clearance PreferredMust be a US CitizenMust pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
