About the Role The company is seeking a Network Consultant to join the team. They're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support federal customers. The ideal candidate will offer extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale network solutions in a secure, high-availability environment. This role requires a deep understanding of innovative and advanced network infrastructures, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of IT professionals, including Customers, Executives, Sales, OEMs, and other industry partners. Key Responsibilities Be a self-driven and motivated team player that can overcome challenges and drive innovative network solutions to help solve customer challenges. Travel to customer sites to implement network solutions as planned and coordinated with the Project Manager. Develop, design, and implement network solutions that meet the requirements of the customer, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. Deploy and migrate network solutions across various client environments, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Configure and deploy switches and other network devices to support client infrastructure needs. Lead network migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-deployment support. Utilize advanced technical skills to oversee deployment tasks, ensuring all systems are operational and optimized. Provide technical expertise in network migration, with a focus on transitioning from Cisco to Aruba products. Participate in the development and review of new proposals in response to customer requirements. Manage client relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction as a trusted advisor for their networking needs. Ensure network solutions comply with federal security standards and regulations. Implement security measures to protect network integrity and data confidentiality. Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, as-built documents, status reports, and standard operating procedures. Work closely with federal customers, project managers, and other IT teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver effective network solutions. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Recommend and implement new solutions to enhance future deployment capabilities. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum Associate-level certifications required in Cisco and/or Aruba networking (e.g., CCNA, ACSA). Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a federal environment or Law Enforcement. Technical Skills: Proficient in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, Virtualization Platforms, Performance Monitoring, and networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP. Proven experience in network security, including firewall management, IDS/IPS, and VPN configuration. Product/Solution Experience: Must have strong switching experience with both Cisco and Aruba products, including CX10000, 6300M, 6200M, ISE, ClearPass, and NetEdit. Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible). Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Substantial experience with network migration, including deploying and transitioning from Cisco to Aruba products. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of diagnosing and resolving complex network issues. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience collaborating with diverse teams. Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements The ability to obtain a security clearance is required for this role. Great to Have Existing/valid professional or architect-tier certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, ACSP, ACSX). Existing or recent federal agency EOD or clearance.
