The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Senior and Long Term Care Division, Community Services Bureau.
This position is part of the Community Services Bureau of the Senior and Long Term Care Division.A responsibility will be to assure the Section 1915c and 1915b Home and Community Based Services Medicaid Waiver (Big Sky Waiver) provides comprehensive physical and elderly health care services for persons with physical disabilities and elderly individuals.Eligibility and service determinations are accomplished through a set of state and federal-mandated rules and regulations.Responsibilities include the timely and accurate administration of the waiver; adherence to federal and state requirements and quality assurance and performance measure reporting; and coordinating the waiver's eligibility and other requirements with Health Resources Division, Human and Community Services Division, Addictive and Mental Disorders Division, Developmental Disabilities Division, Contractors, Department Legal Division, Director's office, other health professionals, and other collaborative programs.This position will be assigned Medicaid Waiver quality assurance and improvement; health outcome and performance measure development to ensure compliance with waiver; PASRR level I screening policies; and appropriate program Administrative Rules of Montana.

General knowledge of fiscal and program management principles.General knowledge of elderly and physical disability service delivery and reimbursement systems.Strong skills in planning, organization, conflict resolution, and oral and written communication.Ability to work independently and a willingness to work with people in a positive and productive manner to build effective working relationships and resolve issues.Meet minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in human services, business/public/health administration, or related fields.Two years of professional experience in health care, public health, behavioral health or general program management.Experience with Word, Excel, and database applications is preferred.Experience with Medicaid is preferred.Experience working with community based programs for the elderly and disabled is preferred.Experience with budget management is preferred.Other equivalent combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
