Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Type of Role: Direct Hire
$$$: 85-100k
Location: University Park, IL
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer for a client of ours, a leading manufacturer in the railcar component space. Key Responsibilities:Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to production, ensuring that all components meet industry standards and client specifications.Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various projects, maintaining accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet design requirements, budget constraints, and project timelines.Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring that mechanical aspects are integrated effectively into overall project plans.Conduct detailed analysis and testing of mechanical systems and components to validate design performance and identify potential improvements.Participate in design reviews, offering insights and recommendations based on engineering principles and industry best practices.Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project completion, reporting progress to senior management.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.2+ years of experience in mechanical design and project engineering, preferably in the railcar or heavy machinery industry.Meet Your Recruiter
