Embedded System Software Engineer, Vehicle Charging Interface
Tesla, Stanford, California, United States, 94305
Come join a team of dynamic and deeply knowledgeable engineers that strive to build the most robust and reliable Charging Interface embedded systems. You will contribute to solving some of the most exciting problems in the embedded software space. In this role, you will be a direct contributor toward the safety and user experience of charging Tesla vehicles. You will work on a variety of different aspects of embedded programming: interacting with high and low voltage systems as well as on-board and off-board charging system, designing and developing control systems, defining and implementing user interactions, and creating solutions for standardized charging communications across different regions globally. You will join a team of deeply knowledgeable and passionate engineers that strive to build the most robust and reliable embedded systems using cutting edge software development tools and practices. You will solve some of the most challenging problems in the embedded software space and change the way the world produces electric vehicles and delivers energy. The scope of this system includes small motor control, charging experience user interface design, high voltage safety concepts, electro-mechanical elements exposed to the environment, and communications / interoperability with external chargers with region specific charging standard with different communication media such as CAN, Power-Line-Communication (PLC). The work is exciting, rewarding and fun, pushing the technology envelope in an open, collaborative, and supportive environment. Help us put clean energy in our amazing vehicles, and work with a diverse team around the world deploying reliable power to all corners of the globe.
