Tesla Energy is looking for a passionate, driven software engineer to build out the features for the current and next generation of DC fast charging. You will be responsible for delivering high quality code for the superchargers, charging adapters, and various other types of charging equipment. Responsibilities
Implement firmware for embedded systems ranging from higher level Supervisory System Control, Gatewaying, OTA Update, Telemetry to low level drivers and RTOSWith a focus on firmware, will experience hands-on bringup of products accelerating them through manufacturing to scaleHands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging and code optimizationDevelop, enhance and debug new and existing real-time firmware in C++ and CUnit testing and software-in-loop testing are as important as developing new firmwareWork with hardware and firmware teams co-designing optimal solutions and schedulesRequirements
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience3+ years of professional firmware development experienceCapable of delivering top quality C++ and C code in a real time embedded environmentSignificant multithreaded and RTOS experienceExperience with peripheral interfacing (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART) and networking protocols (TCP, IP, UDP). Desired experience with Protobuf and UDSDesired to have experience implementing firmware for power conversion, thermal controls, battery management, or other highly physical product implementationsDesired to have experience with embedded Linux and DockerNeeds to have a test-driven mentality, where unit testing, validation plans and quality are second naturePassion for solving challenging problems and ability to break down problems to efficiently get things doneCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$120,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
