Oversee all on-site activities for commercial construction projects, from ground-breaking through project completion. Manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and ensure efficient resource allocation.Safety Management:
Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols to create a secure work environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and compliance checks.Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout each phase of construction. Conduct inspections and address any quality issues immediately.Scheduling & Coordination:
Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion. Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or delays.Budget Monitoring:
Collaborate with project managers to monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards.Client Communication:
Serve as a main point of contact on-site, providing clients with regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns.Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive records, including daily logs, safety reports, progress updates, and change orders. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project.Leadership & Team Management:
Foster a productive and positive work environment. Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative team dynamic.Qualifications:Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up construction projects. Experience with high-rise, healthcare, retail, or institutional projects is preferred.Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with scheduling software and project management tools.Leadership Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and motivate on-site teams.Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, CHST) are a plus.Licenses:
