General Summary of Duties:The Business Travel Sales Manager will handle all aspects of individual transient sales efforts through effective new business development and acts as a strategic Account Manager by focusing on customer relationships to foster brand loyalty. Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following): Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed business travel revenue goals through prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, customer receptions and written communicationUnderstanding of Agency360 Platform to research and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customersProspect new contacts and relationships through available sales tools including Hotelligence 360 (Amadeus Hospitality) Consortia / Business travel agencies, and web-based search tools.Responsible for creating and executing creative guest programs to increase awareness of the property and frequent traveler loyalty to the hotel Works with marketing team to develop materials to promote and aide growth in increasing hotel positioning and reputation, growth in market share and to stand-apart from competition.VIP's (Pre-arrival / Upon Arrival) Oversee & ensure all BT and Leisure VIP's arriving are receiving welcome notes, welcome amenities, requested amenities, correct room assignments, personal meet and greet as required, profiles are up to date, housekeeping status is updated & accommodations walked if necessary. Work with travel agencies to target specific entertainment groups and VIP travelers Initiate contact with customers through networking, industry events, and other communication channels, identifying key decision makers to secure new customers and grow / nurture high potential prospects.Maintain an active list of accounts to ensure continuous relationship developmentProvide exceptional customer service through relationship development, strategizing account development and creating weekly, monthly and quarterly plans that fully exhibit commitment and creativity to exceed customer expectationsMaintain and secure repeat business through client satisfaction and loyaltyConduct site inspections, actively entertain, and personally interact with customers, as appropriate for transient travel segment developmentMaintain knowledge of industry and trends in market, particularly amongst competitor setUnderstand booking patterns, trends, high demand times, and events in the marketConvey a strong belief in the hotel and confidently discuss hotel features, services and advantagesAssist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments, i.e. parties, sales blitzes, etc.Meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly and annual targeted sales goals and profit marginsCommunicate with internal business partners on upcoming group needs, VIP clients, meeting functionsDevelop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Reservations, Front Office, Food and Beverage and Guest Services Work with the Director of Revenue Management to establish pricing structure for volume accounts and negotiate rates on an annual basis Position Requirements:Three (3) or more years of hotel sales experience Must reside in the Nashville area Ability to speak, read, write and understand EnglishProfessional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environmentAdvanced knowledge of market trends, positioning of hotel, amenities, brand, competition and key account base Effective listening, verbal, written, negotiation and closing skillsAbility to assess customer needs, understand market dynamics and prepare presentations/proposals tailored for individual customersAbility to compile facts and figures, analyze information and arrive at logical conclusions and sound business decisionsAbility to meet/exceed expectations for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes Strong professionalism, diplomacy, selling skills and work habitsAbility to remain positive, resourceful and improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressureAbility to network and develop relationshipsOrganizational skills that result in accurate, timely and thorough workMust possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to; Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and CI/TYEducation:Bachelor's Degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related degree preferred General Summary of Duties:The Business Travel Sales Manager will handle all aspects of individual transient sales efforts through effective new business development and acts as a strategic Account Manager by focusing on customer relationships to foster brand loyalty.
