summary Warehouse Company is looking for a Shipping and Receiving clerk to join their team. Shift: 1st ShiftDays: Monday - Friday Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm Shipping and Receiving Clerk *Must have experience Shipping is responsible for accepting, verifying shipper's load and count, stocking, transferring deliveries, and staging received items for inspection. This position requires close attention to details and the ability to use warehouse management system.Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Schedule delivery appointments. Direct communication with carriers and drivers. Track shipments when necessary. Enter delivery receipts in QAD. Prepare pallet reports and tally sheets. Assists delivery personnel with unloading; receive, count and document all incoming shipments. Verifies that incoming freight, as noted on vendor packing slip and confirmed by physical count, conforms with information on receiving documents. Inspects incoming shipments for damage. If shipment is damaged; files claim with carrier and follow through to final resolution. Routes goods to Quality Assurance Notifies respective departments upon receipt of goods. Maintains receiving files in an orderly fashion, ensuring their security and integrity. Cooperation with Purchasing, Planning, Accounts Payable and the inventory control data cycle counter to reconcile invoices and inventory on-hand balances as affected by receiving documentation Upon receipt of unidentifiable goods, notifies purchasing and planning departments immediately.
