If you have strong negotiation skills, an eye for continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, wed love to have you on our team!Key Responsibilities:Material Management : Schedule and manage material orders to meet project demands, costs, and reliability.Team Leadership : Oversee and direct materials staff and contractors, ensuring a high standard of service and responsiveness.Logistics Oversight : Coordinate logistics between suppliers, warehouses, and project sites, tracking and validating vendor bills against purchase orders.Supplier Relations : Cultivate and manage supplier networks, prepare RFPs, and support field staff in resolving material availability issues.Continuous Improvement : Optimize systems and procedures for cost reduction, corrective action, and information management.Inventory Control : Maintain records for capital equipment, oversee tool tracking, and manage surplus stock.
What Were Looking For:Experience : Minimum of 3 years in procurement within a construction organization. Familiarity with electrical components is a must.Education : Associates degree in business administration, economics, supply chain management, construction management, or related field preferred.Certifications : ISM or NAPM, CPM certifications are a plus.Skills :o Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilitieso Excellent communication and problem-solving skillso Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and project management toolso Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50 poundso Advanced math skills and knowledge are requiredo Experience in construction estimatingo An understanding of private and public sector buying practices
